Aura Maps 1-99, documents Arkie Barton’s mental state over the course of a year, through the artists’ personal creative wellbeing practice. Each piece was created through a meditative process of making contact with ones feelings and expressing these through colour, movement and composition - leading to an Aura Map of Barton’s physical and mental wellbeing.
The viewer is invited to find their own meaning in each piece, to witness how they interpret colour, movement and mood. Mirroring the unpredictability of the artists wellbeing, the illustrated works will be for sale only by lucky dip.
In purchasing one of the artists’ Aura Maps you are engaging in the final stage of the artists emotional processing, the catharsis of moving through and letting go of an embodiment of of the artists’ inner self throughout a year of both struggle and joy.
